TEK280 Strategy creation and change

warmly welcome to Strategy Creation and Change! The course is demanding, but rewarding. Our starting points is decisions that need to be made in companies, and the way they can be approached, rather than theoretical models (that however can be used to understand which decisions are better). We usually have CEOs and other executives join us, and hope that we can do the same this year.

We have been asked to make the course completely virtual, and as a result, we have changed the setup somewhat. You will be divided into teams. Each Monday, all teams will be given the assignment to make a strategic decision (based on a case) and write a memo on why that decision is preferrable, as well as the considerations behind it. You are to hand it in on Monday morning the week after. After handing it in, we will discuss the different solutions in class, after which you will be given a new assignment. Each memo has a maximum of five pages. You will be writing seven memos, and there is a maximum of seven points to be gained from each memo.

In addition to the 49 points you can gain from the memos, there is an exam on Oct 24 where you can gain a maximum of 51 points. The exam is also a case that you need to solve.

As you will see in the course PM, there is no course book. We have created links to the course literature in the course PM.
