In general, courses that have great overlap in material cannot be counted together as part of the required credits.

The course "Teaching, learning and evaluation" cannot be taken alongside the GU course "Teaching and Learning in Higher Education 1: Basic Course". Chalmers students who wish to take the GU course, which is more general, need to seek approval from the VPrefPhD.

Regarding the WASP course "Legal, Ethical and Societal Aspects of AI and Autonomous Systems" and the GTS course "Introduction to research ethics and theory of science". Even though there is some overlap between these two courses, due to the importance of the subject and the emphasis by the Swedish government and universities on it, those WASP students that have the first as a requirement by WASP should take both. Students who got wrong information from us regarding this and do not have sufficient time in their studies to take the Chalmers course should contact VPrefPhD for approval of an exception (June 2023).
