If you’re an old student who didn’t complete the course, please read this important information first, then you’re welcome to browse these course pages.

If you completed all labs, but failed the exam

DO NOT register for the new course! All material on these course pages are public, so you don’t have to do anything except register for the reexam.

All the TDA417/DAT038/DIT182/DAT495 exams are reexams for TDA416, DAT037, DIT181, and LET375. You can register for them in the usual manner.

Important: Some course material has changed since you took the course, and the reexam will reflect that. So be prepared to read up on some new material:

Read the page with information about the exam, which contains exam topics and links to previous exams.
There could be some topics that you didn’t touch upon in your course (e.g., red-black trees or AVL trees), and some topics that you did cover which are not part of the current course (e.g., skiplists or splay trees). Make sure to learn the new topics before the exam.

If you passed the exam, but failed the labs

DO NOT register for the new course!

Instead: contact the examiner, and they will add you manually to the Canvas course.
You have to complete all labs for the new course, the old labs do not count.
Complete the labs as any other student. The rules and deadlines are the same for you as for other current students, and you are welcome to the lab supervisions.
Try to team up with another student to complete the labs.
You are very welcome to attend the lectures – please contact the examiner so that we know how many you are.

If you failed both the exam and the labs

Sorry, you have to register for the new course and do everything from scratch. Talk to your study counsellor.
