Who will be able to vote?

Everyone who is still an active student in the CSE research school, regardless of university affiliation.

Who can I vote on?

Who will be elected?

Any candidates with at least 50% yes votes will be elected. Remember that anyone with more than 50% "No" will not be elected.

How do I vote?

If you are eligible, you will receive an email from the "Helios voting bot" with instructions on voting. You will first select by voting either yes or no for all the candidates in order. You can choose multiple candidates to vote Yes.
You will then review your selection to make sure you voted what you wanted to vote, the button will say submit but you are not done yet.
In the third step you will submit the ballot by filling in your voter ID and password and pressing "authenticate and cast ballot".
If you have successfully cast your vote, you will receive a confirmation email, including your ballot tracking number.

I changed my mind, can i change my vote?

Yes, just use the links in the original helios bot email. It is only your latest cast vote that will be counted in the election.

What happens after the election period is finished?

When we release the election results, you will receive another email containing the results. And then the new council is elected.
