The dates for the workshop and the deadlines for the two hand-ins (of the report draft concerning the model, and the final report, also including the decomposition and solution method) are specified in the detailed course plan.

You will model, decompose, and construct an algorithm for solving a complex combinatorial optimization problem—see the project description below..

The assignment is divided into the five teaching and learning activities

1. modelling preparations,
2. modelling and writing a first draft report,
3. a workshop in which a few groups of students present and discuss their suggested models. The list of groups registered for the workshops on 2023-11-29.
4. construction of a decomposition method and algorithm for the problem addressed, and
5. writing a final report describing the problem, the model(ling) and decomposition, and the algorithm/solution scheme.

The project description
In the submission tool, each student must also write an individual collaboration report, stating the contribution of each student to the results and the report. This report should be submitted as a comment to the assignment.

Each group should model a specific problem, given by the options P1–P3 in the project description. The allocation of problems/questions to project groups will be given by the following table (provided that the groups from Project Assignment 1 are unchanged):
