Sustainability threats and (policy) opportunities in my area - For Learning Environment session (at about 3 pm)

In class, you will, in small groups, show and talk about one place/location that you have identified related to an environmental sustainability challenge. The place may focus on an existing, future, or past threat or damage.

1. Using an online maps tool like Google Earth, Maps, or Street View you will show this one place in your home region (or elsewhere) that you care about and that is or has been under threat of a sustainability challenge of your choosing.

2. Try also to reflect on what policy or policies that may be effective in targeting the threat you have identified for the place you describe.

Be prepared to show on your computer/tablet and to explain your reasoning for why you chose this place (about 3 min per person in small groups).

Hint. Try to create a direct link to your place so that you can click on it or to just have it ready on a tab in your internet browser during class.

Note that this exercise will be done in part as a way to get to know each other and in part to get into the reasoning of the course content =)
