You will need some computer tools in the course a Modelica tool and the tool CarMaker.

Note: for the license files to work you need to be logged onto the eduroam network using your Chalmers CID. If you plan to work from home you need to be connected to Chalmers through VPN.

If you experience problem with compiler in Dymola, check these things:

When the compiler fails, it will say “Dymola was unable to compile a simple c program”. But in the background, on the bottom of the Dymola, in the editor, it will show a more detailed message. For example, this particular students message was : “fatal error LNK1104: cannot open file 'kernel32.lib' “
Copy paste that message to google or chat gpt for a more specific solution.
Some packages can be missed.
It may be possible that they you installed Visual Studio, but not the compiler.
For example if the path shown in the previous email: Visual Studio/2019/Professional/VC/Auxilary/Build is empty, then you didn’t install the compiler. Make sure to install it.
