Schedule / Schema
Textbook / Kurslitteratur
Electrical Engineering, 6th Int. Ed
Allan R. Hambley, Pearson
The Hambley textbook can be purchased from Cremona and is available online through VLeBooks. Log in through OpenAthens, and select "Chalmers Library" (not "Chalmers") as the institution.

Lectures / Föreläsningar
The course will be taught in-person and no lecture will be recorded. See the lecture plan attached for a description of the concepts to be introduced in each lecture. Concepts taught during the lectures may be included in the exam. It is good advice to read in advance the sections of the course book relevant to each lecture.
One lesson of each week, indicated as Demo övning in the lecture and exercise plans, will be used for theoretical demonstration of the learned concepts. Details about which exercises will be demonstrated are found in the exercises plan.
En lektionstid i veckan används för demonstrationsräkning. Då räknas ett antal uppgifter enligt övningsplanen i helklass.
Räknestuga
Räknestuga will be held in person. Details about what will be covered are found in the exercises plan.
Laboratory / Laboration
Lab groups (two people per group) will be opened after the first lecture. You can directly choose your group or choose to be assigned by me (lecturer assignment group). People not in a group by the 27 March are assumed to not participate in the labs this year.
Labs will be completed at home using MultiSim. Lab 2 involves a practical component (4-hour lab slot) that we will be in person at Chalmers. There are two labs that must be completed:
- Lab 1: Assigned 31 March, Due 1 May
- Lab 2: Assigned 2 May, Due 2 June
Instructions for each lab will be posted in the Modules tab on the first day of the assignment. The room for the in-person lab is in E2 Room Control Lab 5225.
Questions/ Frågor
When you have questions relating to the course, exam, and lectures please approach Fabian directly in the lectures. However, all teaching staff (TAs) can handle any lab, demo, and Räknastuga question.
Examination
The exam hall for this course will be listed on message boards one hour before the exam starts, as described on this page (på svenska).
You will be allowed to use the following help materials during the exam:
- A Chalmers-approved calculator (på svenska)
- Beta Mathematics Handbook
- Physics Handbook
- Formler & Tabeller
- A one-sided A4 paper with your own handwritten notes. The paper may not contain solved examples.
The exam will consist of six questions, each testing a concept taught during this course. Questions may be broken down into multiple parts.
The exam will last for four hours; students eligible for additional time will have six hours.
Exam moderation will be conducted by Chalmers's Examination Unit. More information on examination moderation and scanning is available here (in Swedish or English)
