Homework on Ethics

There will be a Lecture on Ethics by Prof. Richard Torkar. Based on the contents of this lecture, each group completes an assignment on Ethics. The assignment is to write an essay that discusses a specific ethical issue/question.

The essay should typically be 1-2 pages (may be formatted as a pdf file). The deadline to submit the essay is no later than the midnight 23:59 on Oct 7 (Monday).

Based on the lecture on Ethics, a total of five ethics-related questions will be released. Each project group will work on exactly one such question. The question-to-group allocation is:

               Question 1: Groups 1,  6, 11, 16

              Question 2: Groups 2,  7, 12, 17

              Question 3: Groups 3,  8, 13

              Question 4: Groups 4,  9, 14

              Question 5: Groups 5, 10, 15

These five questions will be presented after Lecture-4. Please see the description HERE.

Please note that there are no ”right answers” to these questions. Your essay will be judged from your discussion of the topic and assigned pass(accepted)/fail(rejected). Please talk to the examiner in case of rejection so you know what to do next. 

Please note that only one essay per group (not per student) is to be submitted in CANVAS.
