Course syllabus
- You have to be at the exam location at least 30 minutes prior to the exam. This gives you enough time to make sure computers are working and enough time for examiners to attend to such technical challenges in good time. Don't forget to have your ID cards or passports with you for identification.
- you will log in with your cid and have access to your files and canvas.
ARRANGEMENT
The form and structure of the examination consists of two parts, Multiple choice questions and Problems (description and calculation based). Both parts will be performed as a built-in quiz on canvas which can be found under “Assignments”
The multiple-choice section does not allow moving backwards and therefore you cannot adjust answers after you move to the next question. In this section no file entry is allowed, and the answers should be given to each question directly. In problem section however, moving back and force through question, and file entry is allowed. However, the attachemnet can only be a PDF you have made from a word document, mathcad, matlab or excel files, with well explained instructions. Remember it is not allowed to take a picture from your handwritten answers and attach that nor can you use an ipad to digitally hand-write the exam. Each question should have a separate file uploaded or a text entry as an answer only to that question.
PERMITTED AND ILLEGAL AIDS
All aids are allowed, except a mobile phone or the borrowed course book. It is also not allowed to use ipad for hand-writing the exam digitally. It is also not allowed to cooperate or get help from other people. Use of AI is not recommended. Cheating is a challenge at the digital exams, and we want you not to take a chance. The same goes for plagiarism, meaning you cannot copy paste answers from google or teaching materials! Also keep in mind that cheating can lead to suspension for you and to a lot of extra work for us teachers. We report suspected cheating to the Chalmers Disciplinary Board, which will be investigating further. More information about how the disciplinary committee works can be found here (Links to an external page).
